Should foreign refs be imported to the English game?

Is it time to consider adding foreign refs to the Premier League panel?
Not sure that this suggestion would improve things - in fact, it might make them worse.

I read the other day they were looking at getting rid of refs and replacing them with drones

I've been saying this for years ~ In fact, I even suggested the idea when I wrote to the FA complaining about the idiot Hackett sending Tony Gale off in the notorious FA Cup semi final vs Forest
English refs are poor (possibly some of the worlds worst) & biased, mostly towards "big" clubs & Northern clubs

No reason why foreign refs shouldn't be employed, subject to work permits, but encourging it would be pointless they would be just as prone to "supporting" the bigger club as everybody else.

They should have ex-players officiating.
Most referees don't seem to have a feel for the game.

What referees need is help to do their jobs. We need to make more use of technology and introduce more retrospective punishments so it makes players think twice about things.
Referees in other countries make mistakes like the British ones

Whatever their nationality all refs should be at least 6' tall. People at a higher point can see further than short arses. This explains why Collina 6'2" was good & Paul Durkin wasn't.
Although the ginger / no hair thing might have had something to do with it as well.

Google tells me that contracted Premier league refs earn £70,000 to £85,000 a year. Be surprised if foreign leagues pay that so am surprised some don't come here and try their luck.
Can't be worse than some of the cunts.
I see we have Phil Dowd today who has quickly got fat again so will be playing 1 min of injury time and not leaving the centre circle after the first 15mins
